Tax Alert: MoF decision #469/1 dated 23 July 2021- Extension of FY 2019 & 2020 Income Tax filling till the 7 Aug. 2021

Dear All,

Based on the Law #237 dated 16^th July 2021 and published in the Official Gazette #29 dated 22^nd July 2021 (scanned copy attached) that considered the period from 31^st December 2020 till 22^nd March 2021 as part of the suspension period of legal and tax obligations following the COVID-19 lockdown period imposed by the general mobilization, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) issued the decision #469/1 dated 23^rd July 2021 (attached a scanned copy) that further extended the deadline for the filling of the Corporate Income Tax (CIT) of the Fiscal Years 2019 and 2020 (that was initially due on the 31^st May 2021 and then extended till the 26^th July 2021) till the 7^th August 2021. The payment of the related income taxes of both fiscal years 2019 and 2020 has been extended till the 31^st December 2021.
